    Drum and Base

    Posted by BlueAlpha14 - July 19th, 2016

Someone told me I should try drum and bass, so when I was making leads in Harmor I decided to use one to compose a quick melody:

What sounds really cool is when you hear the phaser go all the way up, I think it's really cool :D. I decided to go with 165 BPM because I didn't want to go too fast, my only stuck point is now finding the right drums and putting them into a good pattern, I've always failed with DnB patterns. However by looking at a tutorial I was inspired to layer drums making this track my first in layering. I probably should study some DnB to analyze where drums are placed and where do transitions happen.

    dnb is 160 to 180
or if you really want, go way past no one really cares
you can check out my dnb shit though

It would be interesting to see something faster than that, however I found one song that's 140 bpm drum and bass.
I saw you mostly do hip hop, I'll look back and see if I can find your dnb tracks.
