Stupid Internet

Posted by BlueAlpha14 - July 9th, 2016

My computer can't stay connected to the internet for more than 15 seconds wth.

Oh yeah, I've been kinda messing around with another track. Because I've had such a music block I just play around with a track and see if it's worth progressing on. I don't want to spoil what's in progress, but I do want to showcase a riser I made on my own with Harmor and GMS:

Excluding drum samples, it's something I made completely on my own. In Harmor I made a wobble synth that I named Woof Wobble because it sounds a bit like those wind-up toy dogs that walk. In GMS I made a bass called Fox Growl that I've made use of in this song. However when I added this to the riser as well as synced it with pitch it sounds a bit like a Drowzee snoring (you would get what I am saying if you ever played the Snore War minigame in Pokemon Stadium). I've also been making use of the Parametric EQ 2 a lot. It was confusing at first, but now I know a bit of the basics. I don't know what each knob does, however I play around until I get a sound I like.

This may be a track that might go good. I am the absolute worse with drops/transitions though. I also don't have a clue what the genre of this track will be. Even though it's 140 BPM I am not going to attempt dubstep again. I actually wanted to style this off of Mario Kart OST, but I ended up making a bit of progress so I didn't want to make a 30 second loop. However don't be surprised if the transition turns out really bad.

Is your PC wired or wireless? Any time I have network issues, I shut it all down and reboot, including the incoming powered stuff... disconnecting from the PC, the wireless thingy, back to the powered modem; then power the stuff back on, from where it comes into the house, to where it sits in front me. Flushes crappy error checking data. Hope it works!

I was self-promoting myself and now I have people asking me about my PC ok then XD

It's wireless but I think it's the area. My tablet and phone work fine but I'm literally connecting my computer constantly. I would say it's because it's running low on memory but I still have 3/4 of a terabyte left. I've gotten used to it because I don't utilize my PC except for making audio and making news posts which are usually random like this one.

Can't always get what you want, I guess

Sounds like a radio interference issue, which might be solved by disconnecting the power supply to the central radio thingy for 20 seconds, it might select a better channel to interact on. Another thing that might help (if you have an antenna coming out the back of the PC): is adding an aluminum shield, to whichever side has more houses (other wifi stuffs) on it. There's a small program called Homedale that can show you how bad the radio landscape is, by listing all the gadgets on wifi... you'd be surprised!
