Gosh, dang it! Why did it have to come to this? I agree with you 100% on this whole thing. Why it is people are doing this thing, I have NO clue. I do wish it didn't cause all these people who generalize the whole community as a large system of "12-year-old thieves who are HUGE attention parasites", unlike you who understands that there are still some people who respect those regulations or (like me) at least try to understand them fully and comply. I'm a GD player myself, but I've never intentionally done anything like those "12-year-olds", and I have seen all the social negativity that the good users receive from said "generalizers". Let's be honest here, because someone is eventually going to say it: the GD community topic is becoming the new "Minecraft 12-year-old Community" kind of thing.
I'm not sure if any of them even know how serious copyright is. If NG gets sued they won't have the access to the 700,000 songs they do know. And if the site gets taken down, it leaves nearly 80% of us musicians as good as f***** because we will have literally nowhere to post our tracks and get recognized.

I don't want my fanbase to be mostly GD players though. I've seen some of them harass the crap out of these artists.
