School for me is in 3 days. Now normally this wouldn't be a big deal as far as affecting my time on here, but it does.
The short version:
I'm probably not going to be on but maybe once a day to respond to things and I probably won't be making a track any time soon.
The long version:
The school I'm going to is a prepatory school. It's like a mix between public and private. Certainly there dress code is public school, but it's also a very strict school. You even think about bullying and you'll be expelled before you can reach the office. But it's also very strict as far as other rules and your education. Parents recieve a report every day about their child. The teachers analyze anything you do. If you were even a minute late to class, that's going on the report. You can't hide anything from anyone.
So why does this justify getting a hiatus?
It may not, but I also have a lot of struggle with comprehending. If you think I should be farther than where I am with music, you're most likely correct. I just know I'll have to spend time studying like a lot. School runs from 9 to let's say 3. There's after school stuff I want to do, then there's homework, family stuff, and then I have to be asleep early to be up at 7:00. I'm probably not going to have much time to do music or be in a lot of chats. I'll be on here at least once a day to respond to comments, reviews, and pm's but I'm not going to be extrememly active. Basically, I'm only writing this so if you wonder why I'm not responding, that's why.
But it's not just not being on here, it's also audio. I'm struggling a lot with making a track. I'm tired of every 3 days saying "I'm gonna make this" but I later abandon it for various reasons. This was a trance between a lot of interests I wanted to take up. I look at many artists on here and they've been practicing for as long as I have and are a lot better. Their also quite independent. Me? I'm probably the most dependent user on here. It's almost depressing how much I've asked for help when it comes easy to some. The thing is I know about audio a lot. I know wave forms, EQ, the mere basics of music theory, arps, drum patterns, and other little things. It's fun experimenting like with my 280 BPM track but when it comes to making a full track-- I'm point blank. I want to take up dubstep (I'm a freaking dubstephile and I can't even make a simple one), and people tell me I should try other genres but I don't see how those would be easier. I also have a huge hate for sound design, as far as I've looked at there's no tutorials on sound design. Then again, how do you give tutorials on sound design? I'm probably gonna try and make some wobbles so I'm not using the same growl for everything. And no I don't have Serum, not everyone can afford that.
This post is probably useless, honestly. I may even end up deleting it. I just want to let fans and friends know why I may not be on much and why it may be a while before I make something.
See ya,
Alpha
