Just listened to KDrew for the first time, holy crap what a legend.

And Kill the Noise is good too.

(Yeah, I'm streaming)

Anyways, this melodic experiment I've been saying I was doing is actually done. I was really inspired to finish it, and I tried to make it good. Currently I'm doing mixing and mastering, which isn't the best but I'm trying ok. At least you know at this point there's no way I'm abandoning a finished track that just needs some mixing and mastering done. I really want to give the intro and the pre-drop a kind of stage effect (kind of like at a concert) and really emphasize the melody during the drop. I wouldn't necessarily call this melodic dubstep, but it is a few notes layered with a growl and wobble. I honestly love this growl TO DEATH but I tried my hardest to kill being repetitive, and add some variety.

(Also Google Play will you please let me skip songs again I don't want to listen to Bassnectar I want my Skrillex ;_;

This is why I like downloading. I can skip songs all I want and make playlists.)

I was inspired by this one dubstep song on here that had a few dubstep sounds layered with very melodic power. However, I did screw up on one thing I'm probably going to be jumped on about is I kinda ignored chord theory. A chord is something usually vital in any track that consists of 3 notes (why I'm explaining this idk). The lead in the track is two notes played at once, layered with a bass(?) it's 4 notes. The drop is just one note entirely, layered at the first part and double layered on the second part of both drops.

(Dear mother of gawd I am never streaming again if I'm forced to listen to 3 songs that I hate wth)

Either way it shouldn't matter because I think it sounds good. I've released the WIP to one user and he thought it was good, so I'm hoping that's a step in the right direction. It's a lot better than the dubstep I used to release I can guarantee you that much.

(Ok Google Play this is really getting annoying STOP WITH THE UNSKIPPABLE SONGS-)

I'm hoping this track willl be done this week, if homework doesn't bullet drive from doing it.

Thanks for including my song here! The chord theory thing is about it or not?

I was inspired by your song to lay sounds with a melody. But the song itself doesn't feature chords. When it gets to the drop the strings are layered with another instrument (although barely audible) but they're only single notes.
