I'm such a noob it took me 2 months to learn this.

Ok so one of the main problems people were finding in my tracks is an issue I didn't know how to resolve:

"There's too much reverb on your kick drum."

"Woah man there's too much reverb on that kick."

"DUDE ARE YOU FRICKING DEAF THERE'S TOO MUCH REVERB ON THE KICK."

Apparently I am. Yesterday my earphones stopped working. Since they don't sell the kind I have anymore I had to buy headphones. I tell you, I should've gotten these long ago. These things have like the best sound quality, so good I got a headache trying to compose something. The kick drums I was using sounded way too loud, and thumped into my ears too much. Sure it didn't sound that bad when I wasn't using my headphones, but that's when I realized:

"There IS too much reverb."

But I didn't know what that meant. There were no filters in the mixer slot. But oh wait, when I went to the master on my kick drum it says "Kick (Insert 1)". So when you go to the mixer you can see Insert 1. That's when I learned you can tone down the db, so now my next track should have less headache-inducing drums.

Nothing wrong with that!! Some people just take different times to learn something.

Something similar happened to me.
There was a time when I thought I was having trouble finding the "sweet spot" while panning.
It turned out the left side of my headphones was dying. (º - º)

That sounds frusterating to try and figure that out. I knew mine were dying because the audio kept getting super clipped out.
